WHO AM I?
A brief introduction
Although most of my adult life I have worked as a consulting engineer for large corporations such as ABB and Sweco, my interest in helping other people with their personal development has driven me to start my own practice as a coach.
A personal crisis in my private life meant that in 2012 I reached out for help from a psychotherapist in Jutland, and the strength and personal transformation that came out of this collaboration – as well as my fascination with the tools used during psychotherapy and NLP, led me to complete an education for NLP Psychotherapist so that I too would be able to help others overcome the challenges they faced.
Since 2014, in parallel with my permanent job as an engineer, I have worked with coaching people in my own practice. In the first years, it was primarily about life coaching, but as my many years of professional experience as a project manager was reflected in my coaching, I gradually experienced an increased approach of clients with job-related challenges. This means that I have gradually developed my business to the point that I now mainly deal with career-related coaching.
Since I also have lifelong experience in the sports world – both personally and as a leader and coach I found natural natural to draw on this experience and therefore also practice mental training on athletes associated with various sports at youth and senior level, respectively.
It has long been a dream to make coaching my livelihood, and in the summer of 2019 it finally became a reality as external circumstances enabled me to combine my coaching practice with an independent consulting company as a consulting engineer specializing in biogas plants and clients in the whole world.
Since 1992, I have worked as an engineer and project manager on biogas plants. Over the years, I have tried my hand at vastly different types of businesses. I have worked in companies that manufactured and sold concrete products, and I have worked in consulting companies.
In 2000 – 2001 I was stationed in Japan for 1 and a half years.
I have been employed in companies that had to close and I have also experienced being laid off. I have applied for positions that I have not been offered and some that I have been given, and likewise I have in several cases been headhunted for specific projects.
Throughout all my employments, I have acted as a project manager. In line with my growing experience, the projects have also become larger and more complex. My approach to management is therefore reflected through the experience I have as both project manager and volunteer manager, where management is very much about communication and motivation.
For more than 14 years I have worked as a volunteer manager and football coach. Primarily in the age group U6-U12. Through my volunteer work, I got the opportunity to work as a consultant for DBU.
In DBU, I was involved in implementing DBU’s new child structure “Attitudes and Actions” through, among other things, seminars and workshops.
As a continuation of my work in DBU, I was hired by OB as the children’s manager. Here the task was to implement DBU’s “Attitudes and Actions” in OB’s Children’s Division
As a football coach, I have a UEFA B license, which unfortunately has expired now.
